Odisha, India Expansion
Help us bring clean water and the gospel to the people in Odisha
Odisha is in southeastern India. According to a recent survey, 40% of households lacked access to safe drinking water. The region that we are targeting is the poorest of the poor. Water sources are dirty and can be up to a mile from families’ homes.
In some places, the water source only produces a small amount of water so it’s first come, first serve. Some families arrive and there’s nothing left so they go without or they have to walk to another water source.
The Plan
With your help, we can change the lives of these people both physically and spiritually.
Here’s the plan:
Complete 12 new water projects providing clean water to over 1,600 people.
Train 100 believers to be more effective disciples so that they can share the Gospel to over 2,000 unreached people who’ve never heard of Jesus.
Reach 200 households with WASH training for hygiene and sanitation.

First Well Reaches Water
The work in Odisha is well underway. In fact, we’ve reached water for our first well at a depth of 235 feet! To put that into perspective, that’s more than double the average Quenched well, so it requires a mechanical drill. Instead of workers drilling by hand, these wells must be drilled with machinery.
As a result, the wells in Odisha are more expensive. Instead of $1000, the cost of a well is $2500.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 through the rest of 2023. If you’d like to help with this important Kingdom Work, click below.
About Quenched
Millions of people in Nepal and India do not have access to clean water or the Gospel. Quenched drills clean water wells and empowers local pastors to share the Gospel so that communities can be healthier physically and spiritually.
Here’s how we do it:
Drill Clean Water Wells
Local pastors identify needy communities and hire local workers to dig clean water wells.
Share the Gospel
Once a well is completed, we invite everyone in the community to a dedication where we share the story of Jesus and his love for them.

Discipleship training
As people make decisions to follow Jesus, our local pastor partners follow-up with each person, and guide them as they grow in their faith so that they can share the Gospel with family and friends.
